Distance Learning
We are excited to bring our families distance learning classrooms for your child's education for virtual Fridays. Each child will utilize Google Classroom to continue their education. In addition, teachers may use Google Meet as a way to virtually connect with your child's class. We have a variety of resources available for you to review.
No Internet? No Problem.
Having a reliable internet connection is preferred when using Google Classroom. However, Google allows you to download documents from a Google Classroom with an internet connection and use them offline. Families may use our parking lots to access our FREE WiFi to establish an internet connection. Using an electronic device or Chromebook, the student can log into their Google Classrooms, download their assignments, and then work at home without an internet connection. Later, the device needs to establish an internet connection (doesn't have to be the same as before) and upload the documents back to the Google Classroom.
Cell Phones
Your child can access Google Classroom through their cell phone. Utilizing cellular data, in place of the internet, a student can view Google Classroom in its entirety, as well as complete and submit assignments. Using a cell phone in combination with a chromebook, even if it’s offline, will give a student full access to their distance learning or virtual classes.
Offline Storage
If you do not have internet access at home. Investing in some form of offline storage, i.e. a flash drive, can allow students to download and save larger resources, such as digital textbooks.
Parent Access
Parents are able to view their students grades at any time through Wengage Parent Portal. The Administration office can create a Parent Portal for you and give you the login instructions. Also, parents can log into their students Google Classroom and view assignments issued, lesson plans and grades. Your student can give you Classroom login information and instructions. If you would like to contact a teacher directly, the staff emails are given within the teacher pages.
